Over the weekend we upgraded to HPUX 11.0. We reinstalled Oracle 8.0.5 (32 bit) and applied the patch. We then installed the new proiv kernel 4.6 and we are receiving an error when we try to login to glovia. A dozen or so people got in but the rest are getting an error after executing the proiv. The error is SD_ENTER: No space left on device. Any ideas?

Hi,
This is normally because you have not setup enough Semaphores or shared memmory in UNIX.
This is done in the UNIX kernel.
If you search 'SD_ENTER' in the PROIV manual there are a few pointers to do with values for NFILE, SEMMNU, FLCKREC UNIX settings.
Also check the values in /etc/isamdef which tell PROIV how to setup Shared Memory.
