Hi all,

The Pro-IV manual says that CURRENTLS.ONETIME and WIDGET_MANIPULATE have been replaced (by CURRENTCYCLE.ONETIME and Property logic) and are obsolete from V5.0 onwards.

Does anyone know if they still work OK with V5.0?

Hi,

We are still using some WIDGET_MANIPULATE statements on 5.5r204 and everything seems to work ok. Although for new functions we will use the property commands now.

Stu,

There are some problems with WIDGET_MANIPULATE with v5.0 onwards, in some conditions.

If you overlay screens from functions, then WIDGET_MANIPULATE behaves very strangly. It seems to change the attributes of other items rather than the one you specify.

For example, if you have one screen that displays things and then you exit that screen and link to another screen, that does not clear the screen. Using WIDGET_MANIPULATE in the 2nd screen causes problems.

I would advise to at least go to v5.5. This gives you ActiveX and also Smooth Paging screens, and bug fixes :)
